German ring turning is a unique process when a ring is turned and then cut into sections to reveal a silhouette. The process means that the final shape is not revealed until the cut is made at the end where no further adjustments can be made. It relies on smart planning as well as accurate and clean cuts.

Through the demo he will cover some of the history of the technique, how to plan complex designs, the limitations of tools and a large range or techniques for turning.
